Reporting a cheating player

I reported a computer-assisted player and didn’t get feedback From Lichess yet, how long should it take for Lichess to get back to me?

Lichess only sends a response if they actually mark the person as a cheater. If they don't get marked you won't hear back.

This could be because you were simply wrong and they weren't cheating, or because there isn't enough evidence yet since Lichess requires a high degree of certainty to mark an account.

Hope this helps.

Where do you draw this assumption from? Just a game of your own, or other games from the accused person as well?

@Cedur216 i played 14 games with him and when i analyzed the games, most of his moves were similar to the engine. His centipawn was very low, in one instance it was 4 (i heard if centipawn is less than 20 then it is an engine for sure, is this right?).

When i told him in the last game you’re cheating and I’ll report you, his level dropped and he made so many mistakes.

Now that you mention other games with other players, i analyzed another games of his and again his centipawn was lower than 20.

And now that you asked

I was just informed by Lichess that the player i reported was banned For cheating and my lost ratings has been refunded. Thanks guys for your answers!

"Centipawn less than 20 is engine" - wrong. Sometimes you can have such a low ACPL simply because the endgame takes long.

"Never making mistakes in all games, outplaying opponents with far higher rating, constant move times also" - right.

This one was an obvious one, glad to know they dealt with it.

#9 I know a 1000-rated player who destroyed everyone at our club before deciding to play rated OTB again and winning their NM title.

I trust that moderators process reports in a timely fashion.
