I'm looking at my statistics and I see that this user muro73 appears as the "Worst rated defeats" and I see that he was banned ... I assume he was cheating. It would be interesting if the "worst rated defeats" correspond to users who have not been banned.
(Although he may have been banned for perhaps another reason, the bottom line would be that if he was banned for "cheating" then he is not in the statistic).
Thanks.

You already got the idea that Lichess is not differentiating between different ban reasons. I'm afraid everyone just needs to keep on dealing with it. My worst Blitz defeat is from a banned user as well and I can't tell if he cheated in my game also

Oh, ok thanks. So, they dont have a tag for different reasons for banning.... ouch. Ok, maybe in the future. It will be nice. Thanks.

If you reported this person then it's a reminder that LiChess hears reports. If you didn't report him and he cheated it gives you a chance to learn what cheating games look like. Could have been a chess game without cheating.
Yesterday I saw a cheater on lichess tv who has been cheating for a long time. Maybe the reason that he's gotten away with it, is that none of the cheating reports have come from his opponents. Learning to recognize and report cheaters in your games is something everyone could do.

"Learning to recognize and report cheaters in your games is something everyone could do." mmmmmmmm. i never report anybody for cheating (i think i just report a person that start to insult me a lot).
Really you can recognize a cheater?
Thanks for your answer.

You can easily recognize the silly cheaters. They play perfect games with constant move times and whatnot.
It happened at least thrice that I already felt the cheating during the game, because opponent spent the same amount of time on every move, including obvious recaptures or theory moves, and they crushed me without mercy also. But they got banned on the same day every time

Think about what would happen if all games involving a cancelled account were to be flushed from the lichess archives ...
The cascading effects of removing an old game from the database are terrifying to the data architect's mind ...
Cancelled tournament results, for instance ...
The database would never be stabilized for any sort of future reference ... each time a new set of games get deleted, then major CPU effort (and significant time) is required ...
There may be theoretical solutions for this situation already designed and tested, but current platforms just can't hack the load.
Once quantum platforms are rolled out for the public then the matter may be altered

Wait, how do I find my worst defeat and best win?
