Rating Feature Request: Please show FIDE Rating in the game not Lichess rating • page 1/2 • Lichess Feedback • lichess.org

I want to say that if you can show FIDE Rating of players while playing a Lichess game then it would be good and if it more than 2500 and their Lichess rating is low then show question mark and if they are not rated then show 0. It would be good Lichess ratings will be there always in games if it shows FIDE Rating so it shouldn't increase and if they have FIDE Rating they should give a proof. And when players will play their game the FIDE Rating will not increase or decrease instead the lichess rating will increase or decrease silently and we can focus on our games.

most of the lichess users don't have a FIDE rating.

I have already applied the options Hide Rating in Lichess if we can see the FIDE Rating We will know who are FIDE Rated.

So can Lichess add ELO System? It will be good and challenging and we can improve it is like real FIDE Rating.

No. Glicko2 has rd which makes it incredibly accurate. The reason fide uses elo is probably because it is hard to play FIDE Rated tourneys often and as a result an individual's rd might increase over time unnecessarily. This problem isn't there on online, so glicko2 is highly practical. No need to bring fide into lichess. Fide is fide, lichess is lichess, for online games.

Lichess, please don't change it to elo...
