So maybe your cookies get deleted. Did you check your browser settings on that (to never delete cookies/don't use private mode, eg.)?
It did use to remember the difficulty rating you gave it the day before, even if you shut your computer off. Something happened. They may have done away with "themes." Seemed this happened about the time I was no longer able to pull up "themes." I, look you liked to alternate my puzzle difficulty according to which theme I was using.
