Hello, I deleted my old Lichess account in a moment of frustration after a series of losses, but I’ve regretted it and would like to reactivate it. I followed the procedure at https://lichess.org/account/reopen, but I can’t complete it.
After entering the required information, the site informed me that an email with a reactivation link had been sent. However, I never received the email, not even in the spam folder or any other folders in my email account. I’ve checked thoroughly, but there’s no trace of the message.
Has anyone else experienced a similar issue or knows how to fix this? Is there a way to contact support directly or verify if the email was actually sent?
Thank you very much in advance for any assistance!

i have seen many such cases before, and in 99% of them the problem was that the user did not have the correct email address.
Is there a way to [...] verify if the email was actually sent?
it's very unlikely that some random email was not sent. if there was a problem with lichess emails, it would most likely affect all emails. if there is a problem affecting the email, it is way more likely to be on your end.

Hi Gilbert,
Thank you for your response. I understand your point, but I’ve double-checked everything thoroughly, and I’m confident that I’m using the correct email address.
Here’s what I’ve done so far:
I submitted the reactivation request via the official URL, and I always get the confirmation message:
"Check your email. We’ve sent you an email with a link."
I’ve searched my inbox, spam folder, trash folder, and even used the search function to look for the email, but it’s not there.
I also tried using my other email addresses just to verify, and the system correctly identifies that my account is associated with the primary email I’ve been using.
I’ve made sure my email service is functioning properly. I’ve received other emails during this time without issues.
It’s frustrating because the system confirms that an email has been sent, but I’m not receiving it. This makes me wonder if there’s some technical issue—perhaps the email is being blocked or filtered out before it reaches me?
Would it be possible for Lichess staff to manually verify if the email was sent or check if there’s an issue on the Lichess email server end? Alternatively, is there another way to reactivate the account (e.g., providing proof of ownership)?
I appreciate your time and any further advice you can offer. Thank you in advance!
