I went to test once again with security.ssl.enable_ocsp_must_staple:true and it work now with firefox 52.1.

I have the same problem, firefox and win 10, also Edge and Opera has the same error.
I think something is wrong with the SSL from lichess.

We enabled OCSP Must Staple yesterday, but it looks like it's causing too much trouble with proxies, antivirus and other software tinkering with the encrypted connection. Reverted for now.

I do not use proxy and since it works in Chrome i do not think it was my Avast AV. I also tried 3 diffrent ISPs, same result.

Now it works fine. I hope you can find what the problem was.

Btw. Avast is actually known to cause this issue [1,2]. It decrypts your traffic to analyse it and then encrypts it again, but not in quite the same way (apparently breaking OCSP stapling).
