pgn import sub variation syntax

Great ones! When i import a pgn with sub variations none of the sub variations show up, all I get is the main line. #Is there a special syntax that lichess use to show substantiations? I know some programs like the braced brackets {1.45 e5}, others like simple brackets (1.d5 Nf6) and others square brackets [1.c4 c5] Perhaps you can advise, regards Robbie.

afaik it is not possible in analysis board.
But you could create a study. There comments {} and subvariations () are recognized when a pgn is imported.

Actually it doesn't work because when you import the pgn and click study this game, the pgn import only recognises the main line, not the variation branches, unless of course i am doing something wrong or there is some way to import a game directly into the study. :(

I tried it, and it did work.
Click:

  • Learn
  • Study
  • The green + (New study)
  • Name it and click start
  • Chapter 1 opens
  • Choose PGN
  • Paste PGN
  • Create chapter

Maybe post your PGN here if it does not work.
