Why? oh my lord... WHY? i have spent hundreds, hundreds of hour invested in developing my studies and again you implemented this ugly, not practical at all, way to display the lines. Why? i was so happy when you brought back the old way which was perfect as it was now it is so confusing again i cannot read the lines quickly like in the old system please do something the community hates this way of displaying the lines at least give us the CHOICE please please at least give us the CHOICE of using the old way of notations

I agree. And now the button to go right back to the start of the game is gone as well. Very annoying to scroll back to the start of the game

I'll explain further...

there is much problems. first the comments dont appear on the first move when displaying just the main line

second but more important, the problem is that when you get down the opening tree, applying the "main line" kind of display is really confusing it is much more neat when you can see the branches for every single move because often when you get down the tree of openings main lines dont really apply anymore and there are just different candidate moves. it is in fact so confusing that i usualy put a token stupid move on top of my line just to avoid that mainline mechanic of display. now i would litterally have to do it for every singly sub line... please dont make me do this.... lichess studies is my life... please at least give me the choice of how i want to display the notation the new way is insanity

Click the three bars menu, choose your preferred style.

Last and first move have been replaced by swipe from middle to the right or left respectively. A good change imho

It would be very nice but i dont see the option in the three bar menu, i'm not of course talking about infinite notation or not im just taking about the whole way of displaying the branches to me this way is extremely difficult to read and it renders hundreds and hundreds of hours almost obsolete because i cannot go trough the lines quickly like i used to

You can expand/ fold all branches with right clicking the lines, maybe that helps?

No that's not it at all... now i have the continuation of every singly "main line" of every single sub lines appearing at the bottom of the variation. it is just so unpractical and you cant see the different lines quickly it is SO unpractical it changed this morning and there are a bunch of other bugs... cant see clearly the selected move, cant see the anotations on the move list... it is just SO bad.... PLEASE stop changing something that was so perfect now it is rendered almost un usable

why did you feel the urge to change something that was perfect... now it is messy, full of bugs and most of all confusing please do something i'm loosing it over here

The devs here are very reasonable in my opinion if it really is bad it'll be improved for sure, just not in the next five minutes probably...

Maybe you can illustrate it with some marked up screenshots?

(Also are you sure you used expand all? Because I can see comments on my studies etc...)

the MAIN problem for me is i used to see all the sublines variations like this

e4 e5
Nf3 Nc6
d4 d5
2 . f4 d5

That was neat and organised, easy to read. there was just ONE mainline at the very top and that's all (and even that i found annoying, i usually put a fake token move on top just to have all my variation showing neatly like that). now EVERY SINGLE sub lines gets its own "mainline" displayed like

e4 e5 2. Nf3
d4 d5
f4 d5

Nc6 .........

it is so unpractical because when you are looking at multiple side lines at the same time even if they are all expanded it just displays like a total mess with every single sublines showing their own individual mainlines at the bottom which makes reading rapidly impossible.

I litterally beg you to do something about it or maybe even just allow us, if we want, to use the original display which was in use untill yesterday...
