I propose adding a new filter for game assignment:
A) In the same way we have rating filters, I'd like to be able to specify the maximum abandonment rate to join a game against me
B) To prevent abuse, and encourage good behavior, you should not be able to select an abandonment rate lower than your own.
*Note: completion rate could work the same way... but you couldn't select a completion rate higher than your own
Game abandonment is more than bad sportsmanship. When I have to wait for an opponent to timeout (or the slightly shorter abandonment timeout), usually that is enough to end my chess playing session. I suspect it contributes to driving traffic away from the site for more than just myself. A feature like this would effectively completely remove this pain point.

Quiz question: what happens when everyone selects this?

Players that abandon games will find they have a smaller pool to play against, largely of others who also abandon games.

Wrong. Try again...
