"Network error" on all pages (ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED)

I'm seeing this red "Network error" and "Reconnecting" message at the top of every page. I can browse profiles and post on the forum apparently, but I can't play. I've tried restarting my computer, using different browsers, etc, and while I can access the website, I am always seeing this red "Network error" which prevents play.

The JS console shows the following error:

lichess.site.min.js:24 WebSocket connection to 'wss://socket.lichess.org:9025/lobby/socket/v4?sri=yod7uxjbqz' failed: Error in connection establishment: net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

Any idea why I can make this post, but the WebSocket connection is getting refused?

Think they disabled some features (and the site was under heavy load) during the titled arena (approx time you posted this)

This is still happening, but only when I'm connected to my Wi-Fi. If I use another connection (for example, tether to my phone), then the error stops. So it seems like some problem with my home Wi-Fi.

Maybe my IP address is on some block list for some reason? (But then why would I be able to access the site at all? The pages always load, but then I see that red 'Network error' / 'Reconnecting' at the top.)

Does sound like an IP ban.
