I just finished playing a game. I suddenly got a message that I am banned for 14 hours. I looked at my games, and there were three aborted games in a row, supposedly by me. I just came off a 7 hour ban. This was because of 3 aborted games in a row, again supposedly by me. I had nothing to do with any of these games! I did not abort any of them! Looking back on over 100 of my games, I have never, to my knowledge, aborted one. There are probably a few random games in my several year history that I have aborted, but this is insane. I don't know what the hell is going on. And now I have a 14 hour ban. I don't know whether to delete and reinstall the app, delete my account, or give up on Lichess and find another app. This current situation is intolerable and renders the app unusable for me.

Thinking about it, I might know what the glitch is. When I tried to find a game, after about 15 seconds, if no game popped up, I would hit cancel and try again in a few seconds. After several tries, I got a game and played it. These cancels apparently registered as aborted games. But there was no game from my side. If this is the glitch, it doesn't help me, because I can't wait forever for a game to show up, for fear I'm going to be charged with an abort.

I just remembered there is a mini glitch that has happened often to me. When I look for a game, a board would show up, but the overlay would still be on the screen saying searching for a game. I would have to hit cancel, and the overlay would disappear, allowing me to play the game. This glitch didn't bother me. But now I'm wondering if it's connected to the current infuriating one.

If the misbehavior is because you are using the old, obsolete & unsupported "lichoble" app, I'm sure the answer will be to stop using it.

The Beta is the app should be using on Android now. It is being actively developed whereas the 'old' one does not work too well now and will not get any more changes
