More options for customizations for 3D

Hey!

I've just started out with 3D chess and i really like it. How ever, i do want to make some adjustment such as heigher view and smaller peices. Is there anyway i can achieve this? Also i was wondering why standard wooden board is not available in 3D veiw.

Cheers,
IKY

I am not aware of a way to currently achieve this.

Does anyone have a free, beautiful wood 3D board art asset we can use?

#3 Well i the 3D yes, but only if i could adjust it more to my liking. I think the current peices are to big and the board colors are to few. If i could get a realistic feeling, i'd think i like it a lot more.

I have been looking at "3D" chess sets on computers for years, and I don't like any of them. I've come to the conclusion that the perfect design can never be made. I think the problem is that it's not really 3D, but more of an optical illusion, and my simple brain is annoyed by this. But I don't know.

I think it's good to look at chess in two days, diagram form (like Alpha 2D chess pieces) and real 3D (playing over the board against a real person). When reading books or playing online, stick with "diagram form." And eventually, you might prefer a "2D" game replay over watching HD 4K resolution video of the same game being played.

Considering that Lichess wants to be "the leanest and the meanest" (usual excuse for not implementing bughouse) I don't even know why they have a 3D chess set.

I want a 3D set like I saw in chessdotcom. It is perfect! But I have no money to participate in that website. And a free mode is terrible.

@jeffreyashton the 3D on that 'Ultimate Chess' or maybe it's 'Chessmaster' is really good. I tried it once and it was like playing on a real marble chess set and you could play with the perspective... unfortunately they have nothing like an analysis feature or uploading pgns, it's all aesthetics, but good 3D exists!
