so i was chatting all was fine but suddenly i saw when i messaged the same guy the message went but when i go to other chat its going i tried this with all other people i had in my inbox and same happened is this a bug .....or something else ?

yeah just 5 mins its happening
I'm getting the same thing, other forums seem to say similar problems are occurring

then its some bug i guess for a second i thought this is a new type of ban lol and my bird in my hear flown away lol
but i saw other forums i could chat 10 mins back even and one forum i saw it saw some 3 hrs back or so
Yep. From my observation, Lichess is only storing the message if the friend is online. Otherwise the message will disappear anytime soon.
@Dopaminergic_Chess have they made any comment on the situation?

I first read that as "cheating" and thought this was going to be quite a post.
