Masters Database - where is the actual source and is there any way to contribute more games?

Hi, I'm interested to know how lichess is getting the games in lichess masters database. Since lichess is completely free and is developed by open source developers, I don't think there are anyone who is following up with each tournament and get the games of that tournament. So, I would like to know how lichess is managing it? Also, I too like to help in getting the master games to lichess regularly. Is there any way for me to help?

Also, the masters database contains only the OTB games from 1952 to 2019. There are really good games before that too by many top players. Is there any way those games can be included too?

https://lichess.org/paste if you have the PGN, although I don't know which criteria Lichess might use whether to add them or not to the Master's database.
