lost due to lichess restarting

What do i need to do when Lichess restarts in the middle of a game?
i refreshed the page but that only got me a popup asking if i wanted to leave the page.

when you see lichess is restarting dont play any game ..

I never lost a game due to lichess restarting (and I've played quite a bunch of games during restarts) so I'm surprised to see people complain about this from time to time.

A restart is usually very quick and the players get an extra 10 or 15 seconds on their clocks after it to compensate.
And you don't need to do anything.

I'm not saying it's impossible to have such luck that the restart happens exactly when your time is about to run out. But if that's the case... come on, it's just one game! What are the odds? Again, never happened to me despite being statistically more likely than most players to be affected by such a problem.

if lichess restarts during the middle of your game it aborts the game
but if your game finishes just before that it does not

It doesn't abort the game.i lost because i was waiting for my opponent to move which he never did.When i reviewed the game game i could see my opponent had made a move.

it does do it we have seen it do it alot of times before
and if it didn't do it it was either your game finished before the restart or you lost connection

But that time my games are never lose in that issue. Only see the restarting. But I didn't have a problem.
