Lichess drop down menus disappear when trying to select setting.

Anytime I try to select a setting ie Tools > Analysis Board, the dropdown menu disappears before I'm able to select a setting. Clicking on the option doesn't make the dropdown menu stay open, either.

Do you have a touchscreen and a mouse and use Firefox? If so, it's a browser bug: Firefox claims that your primary pointing device can't hover.

@RapidVariants Is that well known?
optional curiosity:
Is it getting confused when multiple input sources (here of different encoding, one continuous, the other instantaneous, or absolute coordinate versus last known position)?

Could this happen with touch-pad and mouse being active together? I don't have touchscreen, but do remember having trouble sometimes developing a menu and then when going to select newly displayed option the menu would wrap up again . Also, I don't recall where that happened neither if it was in lichess...
Touchpad not likely though as pretty much interpreted like mouse input, AFAIU. Then it might just have been that I was in a touchscreen only UI, they forgot that input mice existed.... (the future? that and console controller...).

Thanks I thought this could only be a problem with the displaying software. I will keep an eye for the context.

could CSS have forgotten about mice? thanks for the link. interesting.

hovering is easier with the mouse than in touch screen to interpret. FF has trouble making the mouse its primary input device... as far I understood. CSS the language not to blame.
