Lichess android app issue while in anonymous mode.

So sometimes when a game ends I tend to instinctively close it to play a new one or some other times I just like swap apps or close the app and when returning I end up in the home screen.

The issue here is that I can't retrieve the last game played in order to analyze it (especially when quickly just starting a new game or leaving the finished one , I tend to have "epiphanies" so to speak after the fact but I can't go back anymore to analyze it).

This issue doesn't exist in the browser version since the game link keeps on existing so it's a simple matter of clicking on "back" or reviving the tab CTRL + alt + T OR even search the browser history of it's a very old game.

The Android app doesn't seem to offer such a feature or atleast a way to go back to the very last game you just finished moments ago.

I think this is easy to implement like adding a game history button somewhere or something like that.

I thank you in advance for spending some time reading my feedback.

I am also facing the same problem, also I think lichess should make an app update including this problem, team battles problem and many other problem which lichess app has.

Could you specify which app you are using? Are you using the original lichess app or the Beta Version?

@Emmet_Schuler The original App version 8.0.0

I dont know how the beta version but if it has the same interface with the android/webpage then it has the same issue too.

The reason one can go back and analyse anon games using a web browser is because the web browser it self retains the history of the links visited and/or has a "back" button to go to the previous link.

What I am trying to say is that it is not a bug but a missing feature that the browser version have purely because of how browsers work not because the coding of the browser version has anything different than the app.

E.g any app that doesnt save the lichess game links played on a list or doesnt have a back button (in order to return to a concluded game after you just left it and went to the home interface) wont be able to do what I described in the OP.

It's an interesting dilemma. I don't know how Lichess saves anonymous games, if they even do at all. Is there a specific reason you play on anonymous mode, as playing with an account gives you access to your game history? Although I like the idea of saving anonymous games, I don't know if it is practical or possible to build it, especially without the games being linked to any account.
