Keyboard Move Input

Really happy to see keyboard move input option added recently. Kind of disappointed to see it required LAN (long algebraic notation) instead of SAN (short algebraic notation).

For example, for the opening move, you have to type e2 e4 instead of just e4. Or g8 f6 instead of Nf6.

Surely an option for LAN wouldn't be too hard?

Just make enter send the move, that way you can even double-check it before committing.

SAN would be cool; I haven't looked into how easy/hard it would be to code.

Obviously my post should read "Surely an option for SAN wouldn't be too hard?"

Oops.

It's easy to add keyboard input to tools?
Would be nice!

@thibault I haven't noticed anyone in this thread or others mention this yet, but I find the Enter to draw focus/move input without confirmation confusing. Usually I'd expect an input field to require me to press Enter, which in this case is used to draw focus to the move input box.

My request would be to have Space, or another key, focus the input, and Enter input the command.

Any time I'm inputting the numerical part of the coordinates, there's a chance to miss the numbers 1-8 (less likely on the keypad) so for practical concerns, I don't want the number to be the determining factor in confirming the input submission.

And thank you very much for implementing SAN notation. Takes this feature to the usable level.
