Is there a way to import a game simply by playing in the moves?

As far as I can tell, the import tool requires one to paste in a PGN. If I want to import an OTB game I therefore seem to have to rely on an external PGN tool (such as http://www.caissa.com/chess-tools/pgn-editor.php) to create the PGN, and then paste it on lichess. Is there a way to circumvent this?

Thank you!

No, you don't need any external PGN tool. Lichess has analysis board and study for it.

You can put each move with those tools.

But if it is already PGN format. You can open the file with any simple text editor like notepad or textmate. And copy/paste to

BTW I have to say that lichess.org/analysis doesn't save the PGN on lichess automatically, until you click on Menu Symbol at the right bottom corner and then save it as study.

Thanks for the responses. I'm aware of the analysis and study tools (and they are awesome!) but they're not exactly the same as importing a game (for instance I don't think the evaluation graph is available in a study).

Enter it into lichess.org/analysis and then copy the pgn out of that and import it.
