Try to play from the lichess browser. I think that I helped you

Same issue here. Playing from Safari on iPhone after update to new OS also does not work. Both the Lichess app as well as the webpage do not load friends, does not recognize me as being online and will not initiate any games on the updated iPhone.

Have you guys tried removing the lichess app, clearing any local app data, and reinstalling?

I installed the app after I was already running 15.3.1 and it works fine for me.

To be a bit more clear, Settings->iPhone/iPad Storage->lichess->Delete App (as opposed to simply removing it via the x in Home Screen rearrangement). Try it.

I just Home Screen 86’d the app and reinstalled it and have no problems now. I didn’t bother with local app data and it worked.
