I didn ́t leave the game

https://lichess.org/p1xcayEw65tk

Hello my chessfriends
in this position did i loose the game and was acused for leaving the game.
That was weird. I thougt 12.7 seconds for move 17. according to the analysis board as black when the game was stopped by the server.
My expirience with opponents leaving the game is that i then have to wait 40 seconds before i can claim a win.
My internet connection is stable i play in the Chrome browser. I didn ́t loose connection and my opponent asked me how?
Any suggestions how this could happen?

This happened to me once in 5500 games too, so seems to be a rare thing hopefully. When it happened to me, I played my move few seconds after my opponents move was shown, but the game ended immediately, because the server said I had left the game.

The only explanation I could think of, is that you had a short disconnect (for whatever reason there might be... maybe even far away from you) when your opponent's move was transmitted to you, so that the timer was running from the moment your opponent's move reached the server and was already close to the limit when his move arrived at your board.

Probably this means that the reconnection time to the server was quite long

@joergg This is the classic dc problem so much so i have a copy pasta for it:
"What happend is you get disconnected your browser/you didnt not realize your opponents time ticks down and hits 0 when that happens it sends a message to lichess that reconnects you to reveal the truth that you were disconnected and therefore lost on time."

@for_cryingout_loud Not in my case. My opponent had moved, it was my turn and my clock counted downwards. I didn ́t loose on time, you can see 4 Minutes and 15 seconds on the clock. After 12.7 seconds came black lost the game.
Nobodys time was run out.

oh sorry didnt see "black left the game" happens either when your oppeant claims the game after a certain amount of time or the server after your dc is fully out

dc time is disconnect time
and works for the whole game lets say 2 min so for the whole game you get 2 min of dc time you might see but it happens you dc for 5 secs or more every few moves and that adds up which can lead to a postion where you have low dc allowing your oppeant to claim because of it or 0 dc time meaning server claims

@joergg i see in the fourm lichess shows white with zero but if you look at the game and the move times you see black 12.7 seconds but no move this shows 12.7 were used before the game ended for some reason the form shows 0 for white (my guess is that it thinks white lost as black does have a time code for his last "move") also white cant timeout if they made the last move
meaning thats just a form bug

Similar for me with White (3El9NW19rnkD). The game had just started. We weren't quite out of the opening yet. The position was even, with a very small advantage for me. Both had hardly used up any time. Suddenly "boom", without me having had much time for the current move.
At first I thought Black had given up. Then I saw that I had lost because I had supposedly left the game... what?
That's happened to me before. The net is actually stable for me.
I've never left a game without giving up and thanking the other player.
In the meantime, it annoys me, especially when I get a warning.

Dear chess greetings
Robert

its exactly the same game also you can take a screenshot upload to img hosting website and then send a link

I know in the fourm it shows no time but the fourm is bugged if you look at the actual game and move times and even the pgn it shows that black left the game
