I just played a 5 minute game. During the game 8 times I got disconnected, got the reconnection en cours message, kept making moves that took a long time to register. my opponent was down below 5 seconds. I had more than two minutes left. It disconnected again, then said it was reconnected but would not respond to any commands. completely unresponsive.
I shut down the site, rebooted my computer, got to lichess again, all within the two minutes, but I could not find the game
how do you get back to a game in progress after disconnection?
is there any cure for the constant disconnections?

The server seems to have gone down, taking some games in play at the time with it. As always, there's no banner on the front page alerting people to this fact, hence the forums are getting populated with confusion and frustration. No, no way to get the games back, no refunds, no cure etc as far as I know.

Ah, okay.
@odoaker2015 Oh, okay. I never used that button. I thought I had to select the type game, like blitz, and then the 'voir les parties' button. But that one has them all listed chronologically. It doesn't really say "games" however, just a number of total games, so I thought it was merely a counter, like an odometer
I appreciate the help.
I understand of course, there is an overload, as everywhere in the world right now. Thank goodness my chess games are not a matter of life and death.

@sparowe14 The game in question is marked, as I remember, in orange, but I am not sure.

Going to the lobby and clicking on "X games in play" should work too :)
