Before, we just highlighted the browser address. Chrome saids it copied the link, but it will not paste it.

I believe you are in the wrong forum. Try copying the link with another browser and see if that fixes it. If it does, it is not lichess' problem. Actually, I don't think this is lichess' problem at all.
You said that Chrome has notified you it has copied the link, but it has not. Doesn't that make it Chrome's problem?
It can also be attributed to a number of different culprits, including clipboard setup on your OS, paste destination, or simply a human mistake.

I found the other way to copy the game link, since the old way no longer works.
Click the 3 dots on the top right of the chrome window. Select "share via". On my pixel, the copy link option will be listed as the highest share option.
I'm not sure if it may have changed due to Gemini exerting its new powers.
