How do I convert .bin opening book to .pgn (portable game notation) format?

Hi everyone!
I have an opening book called Goi5_GOLD.bin which I want to convert to .pgn format to put in Arena 3.5.1. Arena does not accept .bin formats but it does accept .pgn formats. So, is there a way to convert it? Any help is appreciated!

I don't have much experience with this, but I think SCID uses .bin as opening book format. So you could try if SCID can open it and then export it as PGN for Arena to open.

As a *.bin file isn't standardized, it could be in any format. SCID and Winboard do open these files if it's in the correct format. I'd have to open it in a hex editor to determine how to decode the file.

https://www.chess.com/forum/view/chess-openings/good-opening-books-for-arena might be a suitable replacement.

Thanks for the replies! I'll try them out! :)

Searching for "Goi5_GOLD.bin" gives the result of it being a Polyglot file. This should open in Arena (a Youtube video explains how), Winboard, Xboard, and SCID. If you are a programmer, there are easy ways with python.

I only do a little bit of QBASIC programming (only some basic stuff). I'm not a pro at it :(
