The red detector should be able to detect a bad connection by the compensation ping which could be in yellow and when a player minimizes or closes the web page have it in red.
The timer that counts down before generating the option to draw or win is obviously already in place. I was hoping to see that count down displayed.
An active browser focused on the foreground, should always be green.
When a browser blurs into the background, something must be sent to the hiccup icon to show red. These are the times the icon should turn red and have a countdown limit to the number of times it turns red.
I can imagine users reading their emails while playing a chess game. So it will obviously go red, but if there is a limit to that style of play, it will also limit other users looking for assistance. After all we should be pondering about the next moves and not reading our emails. If we do not apply our selves truly to the match, our chess rating becomes inaccurate.
