I think isn't easy to meet some volume provider to host this big datacenter.

Allahuakbar 😱
Horsey's family is sad :(
https://lichess.org/@/thibault , but lichess.org is only a website, so how could it have fire and hurts?
OVH is one of the best data centers there is out there as far as i know. I have worked with their server a bit and they're awesome.
My team used to be their customer, too. At least back then, they were one of the most affordable options on the market. I have little else positive to say about them. Their customer service failed epicly, causing a prolonged blackout, and thereafter we could never trust them again. And it's not a single case: internet is full of similar stories of awful support. Even Lichess has had serious issues with them! Check these tweets from 2018 - I'm surprised Lichess is still their customer!

Dang, glad nobody was hurt! That's intense! Hope it gets fixed soon :)
All those games are up in heaven now.
#75 There is a cost/benefit tradeoff when dealing with any vendor. In the Lichess discord some players have asked whether we have evaluated AWS as an option. #F---Bezos
@thibault impressive recovery! Any chance we could set up the geolocated secondary servers to be replicated continuously for an even faster recovery next time?
#79 As far as I know, in 10 years we have only seen one incident of this magnitude. Are you planning a fireworks show or something? :-)
