I use a Web Browser (Firefox).
I checked Preferences,
and found some information about "persistent storage" when I searched the Preferences.

Looks like I have some cookies and also some storage for the site "lichess.org".

Maybe your browser also has some storage for the site?
Or maybe it is turned off, and needs to be enabled?

Same bug since 10 days
I tried with Opera, Chrome, Edge on Windows 10 with all cookies enabled / accepted.
I hesitate to install Internet Explorer 6 to test ;)

Oh Chrome?
I have that browser installed too.

I managed to find some settings,
by pressing the menu "dots", and then More Tools -> Developer Tools

There I found an Application tab,
and there I found Local Storage - "https://lichess.org"

When I clicked on Lobby settings on the Lichess web site, an entry called "lobby.filter" showed up in the local storage.

Have you found anything interesting yourself?

Have a nice one folks!

Ahh, cool! That does indeed look like some lobby values!

"but always the same bug when i'm connected as guest."

What is the bug you are experiencing?

Does the lobby.filter disappear from local storage when you do something?
Or is the lobby.filter changed when you do something?
Or doesn't the lobby.filter values match what is happening on the site?

Or is it something else?

When I start the browser and connect as guest (I assume you mean do not login, but stay logged out - as anonymous),
the settings in the Lobby are the same as when I closed/exited my browser (I tried removing some Variants, and they were still gone).

So I guess I the bug isn't affecting my browser? Or how do I know if the bug is present?

I'm am on windows 10 Build 2004
When I'm connected on lichess, the lobby filter works correctly.
When I'm connected as guest, the lobby is empty.
Even after deleting cache, cookie, storage. Tried with Opera, Chome, Edge.
The only way to display the lobby is to click on the reset button.
When I uncheck for example Atomic on the filter (or others checkboxes), the lobby is empty again.
Here are the screenshots, and the Developer Tools view.

Ahh,
I understand! I thought the problem was that the Lobby Filters wasn't remembered somehow.

But is seems that the filters are indeed remembered.
And the behaviour you describe is happening in my browsers as well, both Firefox and Chrome.

So I can reproduce this bug,
by going to https://lichess.org - with either Firefox or Chrome (I haven't tried any more browsers),
and without logging in to Lichess,
I go to Lobby tab - and I see lots of challenges in the Lobby.

I then click the Settings cogwheel.
And if I make a change in the filters and then close the Settings view - the list of challenges is now empty...
I would have expected the list of challenges to have about the same number of challenges still - my filter change wasn't big.
But it seems that any filter change nukes the challenges list.

I go back to settings and revert my settings change by manually setting them to default values again - and the list of challenges is still empty...

In order to see challenges again, I must go to Settings view, and click the Reset-button.
Then the list of challenges is populated with challenges again.

Thanks for helping me understand what the bug was!
