FWIW, having recently discovered lichess, I then ran into this today. Can't access lichess as a result from behind corporate proxy that only supports wss:// on my lunch break <sad face> (I must admit I don't see the logic in supporting wss:// only if it fixes all proxy issues. Why is making it better [even if it doesn't fix all proxy issues] not a sufficient enough reason for, well, improving things? Is the improvement so minimal that it's really not worth it?)
