Each time I am logged out, and wish to start a new game, the default settings are always reset.. would be great if we had the ability to set our preferences somewhere, and then never have to worry
about them... ie, we just press new game, and it knows immediately that i wish to play 10 minute 10 second increment chess with a rated player.. Why should I have to set this every time?

Think this could be done relatively easily.. even just by using cookies..
Settings are now save in session + cookies + database (if you are registered)
Default to more options on, include Chess960, all time controls and with rated game. Will ensure less waiting around. Playing Chess960 will become possible. Elo will go up as ratings adjust against
anonymous players. Site will be more active and everyone happy.
Most players don't know about chess960. Imagine their feeling if they start a game and the pieces are randomly sorted.
Furthermore I don't want to add fast clocks to defaults because people who don't expect it will loose without even understanding why.
And rating cannot adjust against anonymous players.
