I noticed a little toggle for dark/light mode on the home screen earlier, so I clicked it out of curiosity and it removed my custom background. I went to the background tab in settings and it looks like the option to use an image for a background has been removed - is this deliberate? I've used this feature since I've had my lichess account so not having it makes me a bit sad.
Please let me know if I'm just missing something!
EDIT: nvm, I was missing something! You have to change the background setting to "transparent". I think this is a bit of a weirdly named setting, maybe just "custom" would be better.
ah so it was possible before ? please put it back :D def want it. maybe a bit heavy server side thats why they put URL
Yeah! You used to be able to give a URL and it used that as the background, but the option seems to have disappeared :(
I'm confused, why is it still there for me?
Everything is fine I believe, just set background to transparent and copy paste in the URL for the google image you want as your background.
