Is there a way to create a correspondence game challenge that doesn't require the other player be online at the time to accept it? Given the nature of correspondence play it would be nice to be able to challenge someone and then be able to leave with the challenge still being "active."
On the homepage, there are 4 tabs (when signed in at least) -
"Quick pairing", "Lobby", "Correspndance", "x gamed in play".
I think you should be able to create an entry in the third tab which will exist until someone accepts it or you cancel it.

I am sure you can send your correspondence game challenges so that your opponent will see it,when he/she is online.Sometimes i have accepted challenges from opponents who are offline,so i guess it should work.
But how do I initiate it? Issue the challenge and then close the window? Because navigating anywhere else on lichess appears to end the challenge that is in progress?
