Create two clocks/timers for games with plus minutes.

It would be great to know how much time is left with the bonus minutes. Two clocks to show time remaining. Or is it some magic formula based on correct moves that gives you the bonus time? Also, why can’t a player save his bonus time until the end when it matters?

No idea except that you supposedly get 2,5,10 minutes etc bonus time added to your game clock. How the time is added would be good to know. Anyone?

For example when playing a game one can select 3 min game with 2 min bonus time. How is that 2 min dispersed and can we have two clocks for each player showing remaining times?

@Rarelyadraw If you're asking "how do time increments work in chess?" the answer is:

`In a game of 3+2 for example, it means you have 3 minutes on your clock and after each move another 2 seconds get added to your clock. This happens from the start of the game until the end. There is no separate "bonus time".

Playing a game 3+2 after each move the time added varies!

This second clock, how would it know the time with "bonus time" added, there is no way the computer can possibly know how many moves are left in the game. You as the player have to look and see wow I'm in late game there arn't many moves left.

Your question is akin to saying "the computer should give me a positional evaluation so I know if I am losing and should resign or if I can still hope for a draw."

I do not understand how the bonus time is determined. Is it based on quality of move? Is it based on a set number of seconds added every move? If a 3+2 adds two minutes than let’s see it going up so at least one knows how many bonus minutes have been used!

@Rarelyadraw 3+2 is when you start with 3 minutes, and after every move you make, you get 2 seconds added on to it, so basically the first number is how many minutes you start with and the second number is how many seconds are added with every move.
