Combine Trophies with a number

Players dream of trophies, of course. But dreams are not limited only to these trophies. Apparently there are no more places for dreams on lichess, except for them trophies. Lichess doesn't know just what to do with the players' dreams and what to give them? And that's why lichess came up with these trophies. Which are not clear in functionality, if they are also not eternal. Nothing lasts forever. I don't dream of trophies. I dream of something else. But I'm dreaming. And you are @Lance5500. Not anymore? .. Who are you then without a dream @Lance5500? Maybe you'd better not take these trophies from lichess anymore. Lichess is not the organization that can definitely help us with these trophies. Lichess thinks only about its profit and its survival. And it's not clear what she gives you. Do you agree?

This is pretty niche, but looking at the profile of somebody like Lance5500 (@Lance5500), they have so many trophies that you can't even make out their name.

Perhaps a better way to represent the trophies would be when a player has won more than one of the same trophy, a subscript number is used by that trophy to denote the quantity that they have won. In the case of Lance5500 for instance, it would say something like Marathon Winner x11, or Marathon Winner 11, as opposed to showing all 11 trophies.

It's not super important but I have also found trophies hard to read when a player has a large number of them.
problem: trophies have link to tourney

Players without enough trophies can keep suggesting to decrease the amount of visible trophies via one or another way.
And players who try to win more trophies will keep winning it and will keep improving the look of their profiles with more and more amazing marathon cups!

I think Lance's many trophies on his profile are part of the iconic folkore of Lichess, and an incredible and inspiring sight to behold. That there is such a wonderful abundance and an outrageous excess of them that they are spilling out everywhere and affecting some people's layout and peace is even more incredible, and is to be celebrated! Most people here can only dream about having even one trophy...if I had the same "problem" I think I would be winning as many as possible just to see how the layout coped, and of course to annoy the haters even more :) And because who doesn't love trophies right?

I have a similar "problem" at home with athletics, triathlon and cycling medals and trophies, but something I've noticed is that the only people who complain about there being too many of them, and about them being "messy" are the people who don't have that problem...

It is not a problem. It is the feature.

That's why I put quotation marks round "problem", because it's not actually a problem...only in some people's minds, apologies if it got lost in translation..

Lol, how many times would this topic come up?

First time I saw it was probably a year ago.
Maybe this needs to be part of lichess faq.

Q: Trophies are spilling over, we need to make them neat.

A: No. Leave Mr Lance's trophies alone.

@@@@Lance5500 : I don't envy you. I don't need these trophies. You're doing great. I'm happy for you. But these are your trophies and that's it. Everything you do, you do only for yourself. And if you need them. Then they are these trophies, only you need in this lonely universe. But honestly. They don't look pretty there anymore. And they need a place. And they look like women's breasts. I like beautiful trophies. A lot of female breasts. Scares..! I'm terrified, I'm scared..

Very true, this is probably the best practical reason not to make the switch. If you used numbers by the trophies, the solution could be if you click on a type of trophy, it goes to a new page listing all the tournaments that you won it, similar in style to what happens currently if you click on tournament points.
