Combine Pychess and Lichess

Why not combine pychess.org and lichess.org together? Pychess is just a rip-off but why not make it 1 website? We will have the same things on lichess but just have more variants and stuff. So, yeah. Why not combine them together?

Now think why are lichess and pychess separate entities? Pychess has many variants and very few players. Implementing them here on lichess would mean that lichess would have to pay a lot of money to maintain the variants some of which may have as little as 30 players monthly. Clearly this is not ideal. Besides why would you want to combine them? all you need is your lichess account to login

pychess is not a ripoff. it looks superficially similar on purpose, but the code is independent. as the name implies, pychess is mainly programmed in python. lichess is mainly programmed in scala.
combining them would be nontrivial. i assume starting from scratch would be easier than that.

pychess.org is already great as it is, all we need is more players

It's a bit like combining Microsoft and Apple, OP. They both deal with computers!

Seriously though, you will sooner see lichess and Playstrategy.org combined, as the latter was started as a fork of the lichess code
