Some ideas:
Cost per lesson - a range the user can afford and is willing to pay
Titles - some want a GM, others may want a titled player, and some may not care
Region - a larger category than country but allows you to stay within certain time zones easily
I would love a way to search coaches by variants.
You could also allow user feedback. A great player isn't necessarily a good coach.
Someone of my standard could be a good coach for beginners. That doesn't mean I am, but someone of a similar chess standard to me or even weaker might be. But such a coach is unlikely to be of much use to me.
And therefore you might also want to put in your own rating to filter what coaches are appropriate to yourself.
Maybe also have an area for players seeking a coach, posting their rating and what they are looking to improve, and how much they are willing to pay. Coaches can then reply.
They had reviews then Lichess one day decided to delete all reviews without notice, I asked if i could get a copy of my reviews, they neeeded to remove all GDPR details first. That was years ago, never heard back from them. Regards Richard
