I'm not sure if this was reported before but I'm too lazy to search through all the forums so I'll just report it. So now lichess puzzles has a casual/rated system where you can press a button to turn a puzzle rated or casual. However, halfway through a puzzle if you can't solve it you are still given the option to just turn the puzzle casual and skip it. I feel if people start using it to their advantage and really value their rating then they really aren't going to improve much. If it's intentional somehow or already asked please correct me, but I feel this bug should be fixed.

Puzzle rating doesn't really matter in the grand scheme, it is only used to determine which puzzles are best for you (as stated on the puzzles page when you turn off rated mode).

Yes but as I explained in my original post you are not going to improve if your rating is above your skill level and you're only doing grandmaster-level puzzles. Instead you should work more on puzzles near your own skill level and improve from there.

"Yes but as I explained in my original post"

If people decide to use it in that way, and as a result don't improve, I think that's kind of their own fault...

@AlexandeRufus If lichess isn't encouraging growth via puzzles since all people want rating, then there will definitely be a lot of people who aren't going to improve by doing puzzles. Why even give people the option to abuse the system?
Also in case anyone's confused over what the alternative for this is, the casual button should also summon a new puzzle.
