I don't understand how the points work for problems. I am now in the most difficult problems level and I get penalized so much for 1 wrong answer which is equivalent to 5 right answers. Can anyone explain how they work please?

#1 If you keep in easy mode, each puzzle you win gets less than 10 points (after 50 or 100 puzzles) but if you lose then 30 points minus, no matter how difficult it is. Whereas if you keep in harder mode, If you solve a puzzle it gives more than 10 points whereas if you didn't solved then it decreases your rating (less than 10 points)

It seems so inconsistent. I'm trying to stay put on the most difficult level, but sometimes I get high points for wins, other times I get 1 or 2 points (which drives me crazy - LOL). Thanks for trying to help me out.

What are you guys on about?
The puzzles are rated just like humans... it's just like your other rated games. The puzzles have ratings, just like your opponents.

@girlgeek101 If you are picking particular themed puzzles, for example the Mate in 1, Mate in 2, Anastasia's Mate, etc..... generally those are considered "easy tactical motifs" and that entire puzzle set will have very low rating because they have been beaten thousands of times. You will NEVER find a 2500 rated Mate in 1. Just like you will almost never find an Anastasia's Mate over 1800. No matter if you're 2500 puzzle rated and selecting (Hardest +600).
If you are sticking to the unspecific puzzles, the random set, you are far more likely to encounter puzzle ratings that are closer to the difficult you have set.
Overall, the good news is that your puzzle rating is trending upward, so keep up the good work. I prefer to stick to (Hard +300) so even if I maintain 50% win/loss, I am still climbing upward.

As I understand it, the rating of a puzzle is the average rating of those people who successfully solve it.

not at all. as seigneur said above, tactics ratings are glicko-2.
