Bug/glitch?

I was playing with my friend when he did this move:

He moved there and ate my pawn (H4), this is a glitch right?
(We did finish the game and rewind back to see if it worked again, and it did. Then we tested if he could make another move and get it to work on the next turn, it didn't work any longer) It seems this move only worked when the pieces where placed like this on the board. I dunno, but maybe this is a glitch that could be fixed somehow.

Yeah, I just watched a video about it on YouTube. I didn't know a move like this existed before, but now I know it does and why it does :)
