Hi,
When i try to play against stockfish & stockfish is white, stockfish does not make a move. After aborting the game & clicking for a rematch, stockfish is playing when he's black & i make the first move.
I use firefox, but the same occurs also with Safari, both logged in or anonymous(logged out).
This is happening on stockfish levels 2, 4 + 5 , the other levels are fine, as i just checked now.
Same....tired a different variant...Crazyhouse and that worked no problem. Just the white pieces in standard want to play statue from move zero.
I posted about this issue a few days ago. According to someone who is on the Lichess team it has something to do with the opening book that's linked to the FromPosition option that's not working. You have to request they do a server reboot to fix the problem. That's what I was told.
I have same problem. No way to play with black against computer.
Okay so is there a solution to this...and if it is as above (server reboot), how does one engage with people who can fix it? LOL Or is it rebooted at some stage anyways...
So the good news is, there are a ton of BOT players that are stockfish at a variety of levels, so you can still play stockfish even if the server's stockfish isn't working. Just look under community->players->Online bots and send one a match request.
