Bug Report: Keybinds Disabled After Search Button Expansion

Issue:
I like to switch browser tabs between moves. Since my short-term memory is a bit hazy, I use the left and right arrow keybinds to check what moves have been played. However, sometimes these keybinds suddenly stop working.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Play a game and use the left/right arrow keys to navigate moves.
  2. Switch tabs by creating a new one in the top right corner.
  3. Return to the game tab.
  4. Use the left/right arrow keys to check previous moves.
  5. Somewhat frequently, the keybinds suddenly become disabled.
  6. I finally figured out that this happens when the mouse cursor hovers over the search button for the first time. This very easily occurs when creating new tabs, as the search button is on the way to the top right corner (where new tabs are created in most browsers). When the search button expands automatically, all keybinds stop working.

Expected Behavior: The arrow keybinds should remain functional regardless of whether the search button is mistakenly hovered over.

Frequency: This issue occurs frequently—I have encountered it around 100 times.

Impact: This behavior is distracting and disrupts my ability to review moves efficiently. I often have to click multiple times before realizing that the keybinds have been disabled, further interrupting my gameplay.

Is searching even a thing people do? I use it less than once a year.

The mouse over behavior is quite annoying, indeed.

I'm surprised Esc doesn't reset the search box.
I suppose you could scroll down a little bit at the start of each game. This hides the toolbar.

Or use ctrl-TAB to move one tab to the right, shift-ctrl-TAB to go to left, and ctrl-T to open a new tab.

@TotalNoob69 that is interesting! Arguably this (non-intuitive) feature should be turned off by default as it's inherently distracting.
