Hi, I haven't been on Lichess much for a few weeks (June 7, 2025 was the last time I played more than a game or two). I only mention this in case there's been some recent updates.
The issue: there were a few games tonight where the rematch option was broken. Details:
1) I was playing a rematch with an opponent, and I made a silly blunder, so I honorably resigned, then tried pushing the rematch button, but it was unavailable. It never showed. I chatted with the opponent that the rematch button wasn't working. They waited a while, but we could not figure out how to play again. We eventually said "later" and I played a "new opponent." That option still worked.
2) After winning a different game, the opponent sent a rematch, and I accepted. For whatever reason, they timed out before the first move. They immediately sent a rematch, but there was no way for me to accept the rematch. I saw "rematch offer sent" in the chat, but there's literally nothing to click on or do. Then they cancelled and tried sending a rematch again. I still could not accept. They tried once more before giving up. So clearly, I'm not the only one experiencing this.
Sorry if this is a little cryptic. I hope the explanation makes sense. I took screenshots if that's helpful.
Any ideas? I'm hoping that this is a bug and not a "feature?"

it's to prevent sandbagging/ boosting, i believe. can't rematch if previous game is too short
