A self-imposed handicap could be an option indeed when you start a game. Kind of like Bersek. Tough part would be to decide how many extra points you get for a win without a particular piece.
Easier part would be to create a trophy for those.
How about a game where you must choose to lose your queen in under 13 move sets of the game, or any other 'fair' number, by pressing the 'MALE' button or any other button in a tourney just for that?

Honestly, I think this is pretty stupid, because if you have to play 1....e5, and 2...Kd7, White can just play 2.Qh5 and ruin the chance of getting the bongcloud warrior trophy...
