Given that we now have engines for all the variants wouldn't it make sense if we could set up positions for the variants?
I couldn't find this option.

go to board editor, and then go play from this position, select whatever variant you want, and bob's your uncle.

That just gives you the standard starting position for the variant.

It's a board editor. You can edit the board to any possible position, or inport any given position.

Except from the Board Editor, you can only analyse and play in normal chess.

Thanks for your reply but as MessyAnswer said that doesn't allow you to use the analysis board for a specific variant from the position that you set.

So to clarify my question.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could analyse a position of a variant?
