Any guide or tutorial about the arrows?

Hello there!

In past, there was just a single type of arrows for the best moves, but now you have like 3-4 or maybe even 5 types of arrows that randomly appear during some position analysis WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION :-(

Here's an example with 3 different types of arrows, where I assume that the white arrow is what I played as an alternative move?? (it's confusing, as it doesn't show any arrows for the moves you actually played and doing some extra sidelines doesn't create new White Arrows... so I can only guess. You also have a thicc ultramarine arrow with white areola (so it's some type of DOUBLE-arrow?), which I have no idea what it means.

Here, you have kinda reversed colors!
We had Blue Arrow with white areola, but now we have White arrow with blue areola!!
Hooray! Whatever it means!

I think there are even more types of arrows (threat mode aside), but don't remember them now.

Is there any FAQ or tutorial, or help page, or whatever, explaining all these types of arrows, double-arrows etc.??? :-(

There is no tutorial. There are several types of arrows:

  • variation arrows (white - or sometimes green/red in Interactive Lessons) - they appear in Analysis Board/Study where there are more than one move in the move list from the current position (enable/disable from board menu or pressing V )
  • computer engine (gray) - they appear when you have computer engine on and they show what moves the computer recommends (enable/disable by pressing A)
  • Explorer arrows (gray) - they appear when you have the Opening explorer open and you mouse over a move in the list
  • mouse over variation arrows (blue) - they appear when you have variation arrows on board and you mouse over the same move as the variation in another place (the variation list, computer engine move list, Explorer move list)

The last one also has an annoying behavior that if you mouse over the variation and press the right arrow it will move that move, not the actually selected move.
