Hello lichess players,
I have played over 32k games on lichess, I just played the latest marathon, and Im not here to waste anybody's time. Im just here to play chess. I'm sure this is the case for many other players. But in the classical time control, which I have recently started playing, there are a lot of cheaters that waste our time as chess players. I don't want to sit there for 1 HOUR to just realize my opponent is cheating. And then I can't play any more games for the day because I will need to wait until the person gets banned, which might take a while. And if I win then my elo compensation will be lowered, which I also don't want. Now: Most cheaters have a ? in their rating, they haven't played many games. To avoid facing cheaters, I always abort question mark players. But lichess will time me out from playing their game. This. Must. Stop. Now. Who is with me?
Lichess should still time people out who just abort people to waste people's time. But they should not time out genuine chess players who just don't want to face cheaters and be slowly murdered in an hours time in classical TCs. Lichess, don't waste our time and let us play chess!

Question mark players are not to be stereotyped as cheaters, please drop the attitude.

If you really want to discriminate in that way you could simply make sure you only ever accept other players' challenges rather than putting out your own, and avoid the quick pairing system, so you can check the player before you agree to play them. That way new players who are trying to get an established rating don't have to deal with the annoyance of having their games aborted at move one.

The fact that I need to go through all that is precisely why I want to just be allowed to make my own seeks and not play potential question mark cheaters. Also, this isn't about discrimination, I just don't want to waste an hour of my time every day.

Ah yes, so because question mark players COULD be cheaters, you decide to avoid them altogether?
Why not quit chess entirely, then? Anyone could be a cheater, question mark or not.

Are you a cheater? Because 2 years ago you also were a provisional new account.

@glbert Is it allowed to like your own comments with a second account? Besides How sad is that you have to like your own comments...haha...I really wonder if the op thinks, hmm, maybe I was wrong after looking at the dislikes.

as a matter of fact he's literally circumventing a chatban. Not sure if it's the exact same person or a friend. But sumusername is chatbanned and attempted to post the exact same message.
