Additional filter for creating a game (1500 ?) rating

Hey, I have a suggestion for a feature when creating a game.
Don't know weither it's as necessary or good at all.

But well, sometimes i create a game and play against somebody who has the rating 1500 (?), so that does mean that his rating could not be judged accurately, because a lack of rated games (right?).

This can be sometimes a little troublesome imo. I mean, not the biggest deal at all, but I have sometimes the feeling I get an opponent with a much higher/ lower rating, although you filtered for something else. Maybe there could be an filter for accurately judged players.

I don't know wheter it's a good idea, just thinking of it for a while. It would be maybe mean for new players, but maybe better to get a fitting opponent. What do you think? :)

Cheers :)

PS: An abort button for a game, when its not started yet and is still in the match list would be neat as well, but different topic ;)

People suggest all sorts of things due to the (?) -- nobody wants to play them, in tournaments, in challenges, in the lobby, anywhere...

If you want to abort a game request you created in the lobby, you can click on the request to abort it.

The problem with these suggestions is that if there was an option to filter out provisional players, then those players would remain provisionally rated and never get a game... therefore no new members would join because they would feel discriminated against.

#3 Which is why I think lichess should maybe stop displaying the (?) mark altogether...

@ Toadofsky; Thank you for the enlightment :)

@ mCoombes314; Yes, you are right. Thought somehow the same, it would be mean for new players....The bigger problem is maybe good or bad players who play exclusively unrated....

But yes, probably not the biggest deal at all, just have rarely those games....and I play myself more unrated than rated. So, I see your point ;)

Also, I'm not really sure why people care about their rating on a game-by-game basis. If you're rated 2500 and get beaten by a 1500? player who turns out to be a new GM on lichess, that will lower your rating of course.... BUT if you are really deserving of that rating, then you'll bounce back. Ratings aren't so precise that they matter game-by-game.
