Yakkuboev's Apology to Vaishali R and my opinion on the incident.

> Then why do you put in the title that it is your opinion? This makes no sense and feels like you have a hidden agenda.
You have a big misunderstanding. I wrote in clear words "and my opinion on the incident." that means everything I said was my opininion. Make sure you are understanding titles before you start reading the content.

> This is misleading information. The handshaking with WGM Divya Deshmukh happened in 2023 and not in the same tournament. This most likely means GM Yakkuboev got later at home reprimanded for making the handshake and was requested to change his attitude in the future. Unless somebody comes up with a better explanation then this is what I believe in this unfortunate story.
Nothing wrong. But everything was my opinion. As simple as that.

You are sharing videos from others and mention facts. That is not your opinion. Should Nordibek be sanctioned? Should Nordibek have warned the organizers in advance? Should people whom refuse handshakes be forbidden to play chess on the board? Should other types of greetings be accepted? That are all opinions. You gave no answer on any of those relevant questions so then you should not claim that you gave your opinion.

The handshake in 2023 is not your opinion but a fact. There is even footage of it. I did some research and Nordibek stated on X a few days ago that he made an error in 2023 by doing that. He won't do it again anymore. That is important information to understand Nordibek changed his opinion about handshakes since 2023. Everybody change opinions all the time.

Clickbait or trolls I call such messages. I will always warn readers when I see them. It generates conflicts, misunderstandings and let fake information for years live on.

Maybe it is not on purpose (as you don't want a fight) but you better just delete the message or change the title.

I find this a bit funny because the handshake is a Western invention, while the players involved are Muslim and Hindu. In India, it is traditional to greet someone with a namaste. And one reason is precisely because a namaste avoids contact and this was important in the old days - people from a high caste could acknowledge those from low castes without touching these 'unclean' people. Somebody should tell Nodirbek to namaste in future (and in fact even Westerners were doing it during the Covid pandemic).
