Why don't people on lichess like chess.com?

I use both lichess and chess.com (lichess on computer chess.com on my phone). I have seen people in the forums calling it the "Other Site"

It's a compliment. Chess.com is so well-known and successful that it's obvious what people here mean when they say the other site. I like chess.com fine. I use both too.

Even very much Worse than lichess with regards to lag and cheaters! Honestly it’s a shithole. Chess.com is only good for master players, the rest down under they take a long and fat shit on!

I can't say I've noticed much cheating here or there. I had one rating refund and I hadn't even been suspicious of cheating. Mind you if they're around my rating and cheating they're probably not very good at cheating or chess.

I've not had an issue with lag either. Perhaps your internet connection is causing problems for you.

I guess some people think it's wrong to say chess.com here. like it's promoting the competition.

Maybe they got that idea from chess.com where you aren't allowed to mention lichess. chess.com is scared of other chess sites. They buy the ones that start to get popular.

lichess is about chess, chess here, chess there, chess everywhere. If you want to play here and on chess.com, awesome. Just don't mention lichess when you're on chess.com.

One thing I like about chess.com that isn't on lichess is all the different bots they have, on lichess there's only stockfish, but on chess.com they have bot personalities. This would probably be very hard to implement on lichess so I'm not asking for this feature on here.

Actually, I experienced that before I closed my account there. I wrote one single post on chess.com where I told that Lichess is way better for ordinary people and chess fans. Even tough lichess isn’t lag or cheat free, it is way better, I told. My post was deleted and I was banned from posting and chatting. I am sure that they afterwards also placed me in a category where I only met suspected cheaters/chess.com bots/or some AI-human hybrid players. Cause after that incident I lost allmost all the time there. Chess.com is like an authorian dictator ruled communist country. Where on the other site there is the country called lichess.org where freedom and democracy for everyone is the core value.

lichess lets anyone run a bot here. I've never played any, but there are probably 100s of different types of bots on lichess you can play with. https://lichess.org/player/bots

different strokes for different folks, but I never understood the appeal of mittens, etc.
