Why does not Aleksandra Goryachkina smile in chess tournament posters?

Because she got knocked out of the world cup
I think she is just an unhappy person -- like many excellent chess players. My guess is it's a childhood theme. It seems she is not deliberately looking hostile or unattractive. Not to be sexist, but she has bad taste with make-up and clothing, at least by dominant standards, always looking artificial. That could be a positive factor -- she doesn't care about all the patterns of gender appearance. She will be herself. Think of a male Hans Neiman.
On the other hand, she may be unhappy with the demands of being highly intelligent, with the added pressure role of being foxy and fun and sociable.
We did not expect that of Steinitz or Alekhine. They were allowed to be their cranky selves. It would be nice to see a genuine warm smile from Aleksandra, but it seems unlikely.
My theory is that people are complicated.
.
Some people when they think:
look angry, some smile as a reflex even tho it doesn't reflect their internal state, some smile like the smile of a wolf planning dinner, some people's face goes completely blank when they are totally focused.
.
In my family, we have examples of all 3.
.
There is also the 'Russian culture' issue. I was in Moscow for 2 weeks in 1992 and dont recall many, even any, people smiling there as a default face position.
.
So I'd suggest dont assume her face at tournaments reflects her general happiness. - Bill
same idea as Psalm 137 and Rivers of Babylon:
For the wicked carried us away, captivity,
require of us a song (smile)
how can we sing King Alpha song in such a strange land

You are right. I made many mistakes in my post.

My question is not about Goryachkina not smiling, but the choice of her photo chess tournament poster makers use. I cannot question her choices, but I can question the poster makers. Even Wikipedia uses a photo of hers where she is staring into the void. However a simple google search shows many of her photos where she is smiling,

Again, my question is not on Goryachkina , but the poster makers, even Wikipedia uses a weird photo of hers where she is staring into the void, even when a simple google search shows a lot of her smiling photos.
