Huh, it just dawned on me that while Hikaru might be a brand ambassador, I don't know if he's actually their employee.

Nakamura is doing this on his own.

Because he is a known cheater. I think everyone needs to step back attach a different name to the alleged perpetrator and see if they still feel the same. I think most people defending him would not be.

Okay, he cheated in online chess. He admitted that himself. But that says nothing about whether he cheated in OTB chess. And the presumption of innocence still applies. It has not yet been proven that he cheated at the Sinquefield Cup. And as long as that's the case, he hasn't cheated. Anything else is a disgusting witch hunt. And there's no justification for treating him like that.
